Run and Gun Pictures is a video production company based in Olympia, Washington and owned by experienced filmmaker William A. McDonald. Founded in 2006, we specialize in producing low budget commercials, independent shorts and micro-budget independent films. If your business needs a commercial, whether online, television, radio, or other forms of media, we are your cheap, efficient and professional solution. Unlike many other production companies, Run and Gun Pictures will work with your budget. Prices are based on both time and scope of the project.
How much does it cost?
William McDonald charges a flat rate of $20 an hour for his services, which includes the use of his equipment, camera, microphones, lights, editing bay, ect. The average 30 second video takes anywhere between 15 to 40 hours, depending on required effects. Please note that the more information held within a smaller amount of time generally requires a great deal more editing and refining. Meaning a 1 min. 30 second video may actually take less time than a 30 second if the information was roughly the same.

We can produce one for you! Just tell us the base information you want to include and we will find a way to make it both memorable and enjoyable to watch. Remember, people don't choose to watch commercials. You have to grab their attention and make them want to see what you have to offer them. 30 second to 3 minute scripts generally take anywhere from 1-5 hours to produce.
Short on time?
If you want production time to be reduced, Run and Gun Pictures has a cinematographer, and an assistant on stand by each willing to work for a $15 an hour rate, so that setups and shoots may go more smoothly and quicker.
When it gets down to it, the desired complexity of the commercial results in how long it takes to edit and finish. We will try to do things as efficiently as possible. We even have a modest collection of costumes available along with our own green screen to help keep production costs down. Our basic materials charge runs $150 a shoot, to cover gas and tapes. If given a production budget we can purchase additional props, obtain the necessary actors, while trying to make the entire thing both to your satisfaction and budget.
